What is "re-branded"? Is that like a new DBA?

Not exactly. If say Med-trans wanted to be able to use a different name for offical business or advertising then they would have a DBA listed in their op specs under A001 section C. Medtrans does not have that entry used so thats another reason why their is always a Medtrans logo with cert number on the aircraft that say "operated by"
Boston medflight for example is actually on their 135 cert as New England Lifeflight, but they have a DBA as "Boston Medflight"
Having a helicopter painted up with something the hospital came up with does not require a DBA provided you dont.... "Use a "doing business as" (DBA) name in anyway that represents an entity that does not hold an Air Carrier or operating certificate an operations specfications as having such a certificate and operations specifications"
So the re branding only falls into a marketing, association with a hospital type area, not a FAA area. |
