I do 14's and would not do 7's  

I love listening to EMS pilots complain, especially those who went to Silver State (or equiv.) then went into "tours" (round and round the merry go round) after "flight instructing" ( teaching recently acquired poor habits to the "next-gen") at the same place in the same weather for peanuts ...... They have never had a real job in a real place doing real helicopter things. Damnit, they have never had a real job anywhere doing anything outside the veil of their parents support!

After all, who could or would trust the decision making skills of a IPAD and game-boy driver who thought it made economical sense to spend 50k to be allowed to work for peanuts for a couple of years to land a 70k job? Seriously, if you have that much (or are stupid enough to borrow that much) to be a "pilot", why not get an education and make some serious $$$?

Then there are the "second career" former "bankers" (worked in a loan department), "accountants" (worked in a tax return mill, and "professionals" (managed a Wendy's), who just want to be the guy like the guys that stole their girlfriends and wives (or boyfriends, soul mates, life partners, or whatever)

If they were smart, they would get an RN and be "that guy"!
