Let's hear you try to translate this cobbled up mess of inanity:
one gets in this industry the more capable one gets in detecting management's lies or downright ignorance. Problem is 'management' might as well sometimes be an acronym for ignorant pencil pushing admin chreep.
Ran in to a retired LEO helicopter type eager to 'climb the ladder' who spoke about how bases were to be closed soon if flight completions didn't drastically improve. His problem was those in the audience who had the facts and they drilled him mercilessly. Deserved it too. He's back to being a line pilot where he belongs.
Thing is how can a retired LEO feel comfortable behaving the way he did. Oh, sorry, that's right, LEO. Maybe used to it or just was so willing to drink the corporate kool-aid he decided to be a good boy and reiterate the rubbish.
Low intellect industry? Maybe. But it is a fun industry. Far more interesting than pushing tin airport to airport, hotel to hotel, and the good part, paycheck to paycheck. Oh, sorry, that's a problem these days isn't it?
