The FAA has no enforcment authority unless the person at fault has a issued certificate by the FAA. When Johnny Drone Driver does something stupid, the FAA will investigate, if they have enough evidence that Johnny broke some law but has no FAA issued certificate they will hand it off to the FBI. Now..... do you think the FBI gives two sh#$s about this ? Maybe if there was loss of life they would allocate the resorces to persue a case. It's all BS, at the end of the day it's all about the $$$. The FAA is struggling with the entire drone issue. |
