Remember Mr. Nami, that autopilot is only as smart as you are AND never to be trusted. To count on the autopilot to complete your mission is a big mistake. What happens when the electrons go away. Do you know where the autopilot circut breaker is in the dark and by position ? FMS's are great until there not.
You say the program doesn't fly in thunderstorms or ice. Is that present , predicted or forecast ? You are fortunate to have had a good background. Most have not and in todays world your brothers in arms doing a standard tour are probably not anywhere close to what you have.
In SPIFR, Dual pilot or autopilot NEVER trust, rely on is O.K. but verify. Always try to fly with someone who is better than you but doesn't know it ! (If that pilot type exists !)
