We have the “larger” HAA aircraft the OP stated isn’t economically feasible. We have LPV approaches that we routinely fly to 300-3/4 minimums. We cannot fly in ice because there are no available civilian HAA ice certified aircraft. If there were, we would certainly look at it. The point is, helicopter aviation continues to advance and catch up with commercial fixed wing ops. I have flown both SPIFR and dual-pilot helicopter ops and my observation is dual pilot is safer. I am completely comfortable with SPIFR but absolutely know another qualified pilot in the left seat has the advantage.
