Several of the guys that have quit PHI AMG went to work for the contract maintenance company that PHI has to hire to do the maintenance on the aircraft that are grounded due to the shortage of line mechanics. PHI AMG pays that company more to do the work than it would have cost to pay the same guys as PHI employees. The number of grounded aircraft has increased a lot over the last year or so. Any PHI AMG employee can go on the company web site and see how many are grounded for maintenance. Some stay grounded for weeks at a time for maintenance that is not very major.
