it doesn’t work that way idiot.  Many of our bases are waaaay out of the realm of taking a taxi or Uber.  Often times there is no base vehicle.  The oncoming pilot is expected to drive to the helicopter in their personal car, and hand over their keys to the pilot who has been on shift for 17 hours already.  Believe me this has been fought before.  Company attorneys finally say they can’t force you to hand over your personal keys.  But if you DON’T, you will be looking for a new job.
