u guys really need to get out more. reagan et al have made it damn near impossible to even organize and run a strong union, and twice as damn near impossible to pull a legal strike, especially if you're in a rla union...which aviation unions are.
i know you guys think unions are still like in the movies, you know, "hoffa," and "on the waterfront." but they ain't. they're basically just a fiction that gets maintained under a thick hedge of laws and regulations and back-room dealin' by the rich and powerful, in order to give the li'l folks the dream that they still have some power (in that respect, kinda like the notions of americer the beautiful as a representative democracy, where gubment, harrumph harrumph, is still afraid of the voice o' the people, harrumph harrumph.).
now you get enough gumption up....which is highly highly highly highly unlikely...to pull an illegal strike? bring it baby, says the man...'cause that's not only the end of your li'l union, but anybody they can identify who might serve as a useful example to the other hands who might have the idea of gittin' a li'l uppity is gonna be seeing the inside of the slam.
as i say, don't run your mouth about things you know nothing about. which, from your post, the state of americer in gen'ral and americern labor in par'tickler, are two.
