They likely looked at the extra market share from androids and figured this into the equation:
1. How many more people would use it?
2. How many more devices would we have to support (android os is used by more than one company)
3. What would it cost for us to maintain two different code bases (there area ways to share most of the code, but the User Interface (UI) portion would be different on the Android devices which means new testing and new releases for new Android OS
4. There is a greater chance of something getting hacked on an Android device than an Apple - A closed platform is safer for aviation.
ForeFlight is only available on iOS devices such as the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. We have no plans for an Android version of ForeFlight Mobile at this time.
