Sounds like you have an agenda with someone and your using this post about the H160 to make a shout out to another person. To pick on him for his beliefs. Let me ask you a question DB, do you actually believe that flying one pilot is better for the passengers we fly than 2 pilots? Are you that stupd that you believe its better for the safe return of all flights that you think that one pilot is better than 2? ARE YOU that stupid that you believe that many of the EMS and all accidents an incidents in aviation would never have happened if only one other pilot was aboard the aircraft to just ask, "what are you doing?" and had the ability to possibly stop the incident.
Now, before you reply with some line about how accidents would still happen, let me put to rest the fact that I believe there will always be accidents.
But, you can't be so naive to believe that the reason we have not embraced two pilot EMS is because we think it's better? EMS and most other helicopter business operate in the one pilot enviorment to save money. How much is one llife worth to you? If it was your wife/husband, or son/daughter or friend or relative that lost their life on a helicopter that crashed because one pilot made a mistake that proved deadly I wonder if you feel the same?
MONEY drives the train on more than one thing and in EMS money definitely drives the train. We are killing people as much as ever and this attitude that one pilot is somehow not the issue is foolish and very near-sighted.
