Yup you can fly fires all day during the day close to a helispot with helco overhead telling you where and what to do... Too smokey .. no worries sit and get fat.
Yup you can fly offshore where you have nothing to hit all day long and then shut down at night.. Weather too crapy no worries sit on a rig and get fat.
Yup you can fly over, under and between powerlines all day and then shut down at night.... weather is crap no worries sit and get fat.
Yup you can fly a few feet above the ground at 60 knots spraying crops all day within oh maybe 10 miles of the airport or dirt strip you work near.... then shut down at night. weather crap.. no worries
And then you can go fly point A to B 24 hours per day in a different direction nearly every flight. Most all the time landing in a different location much of the time outside any controlled airspace. And then go home and often not sleep. Weather... well thats the hard part.
The moral of the story is that not all missions are created equal.
