That sounds pretty accurate and in line with a friend of mine who just moved to the airlines. He is at just under 1000 hours of 121 time and is scheduled for his captain ride as soon as he hits it, he will have been there just about 18 months when he does.
It's not the long-term outlook, which is incomparible to a helicopter career. It's can you afford the short-term pay cut, which is substantial in many cases. Also my friend has renamed his new career choice the ass-endurance challenge. So if boredom is going to be an issue for you, it is something to consider before jumping ship.
If I didn't have two kids about to go into college I would certainly consider it, but I do so it's higly unlikely for myself.
