Indeed we are mostly gypsys. Most of us prefer the travel and new places. In my EMS days I rarely had to fly to a dark LZ to pull off a hero landing in pitch black. Make that NEVER! and neither have you. There are always at least a half dozen patrol cars and fire vehicles there first otherwise you’d never get called unless ‘on scene‘ people asked for you. We usually flew some nothing flight from hospital to hospital in very nicely equipped machines.
In my EMS time I might fly 20 hours a month I now often fly 50 hours a week doing far more precision work than any EMS flight ever.
Power line pilots fly more hours, yet hour for hour are LESS prone to crashes. Look that up.
