The place has significantly gone downhill. Gone are the days were you had a pretty decent shot of getting hired right after you get your CFI.
Several years ago, the school had more students than they can handle...close to 300 at some points. Now, they only might have around 40 or so.
There has also been a rash of departures from some of the more senior staff....they've seen the writing on the wall. I would not be surprised in the least if the school is sold over few years, unless oil prices significantly increase and then more foreign oil pilot guys show up for ab initio training.
It's sad...Many good memories of the Irish Pub and shenanagins in area Alpha, but the place is a ghost of what it once was. Bristow Group took the old Helicopter Adventures and completed ruined it.
Many other schools in Florida to choose from - some research online will point you in the direction.
