I've worked for several operators over the years, from Mom & Pop to some places with 20-30 aircraft. PHI is the only large operator I've worked for and I've been there for almost 20 years. The level of support that comes from Lafayette is unbeatable, if you have a legitimate need for something, you get it. If a medic breaks the NVG battery pack, just call and one will be on the way. If the aircraft is grounded, the parts will probably be sent by a courier right to the base front door.

There are some new area managers in O&G that are learning and have been a bit of a pain in their first year at the job. Once they learn that their position is not one of power but one of support, most begin to grow into the job and earn some respect from the guys on the line.
