#1 "While transferring an extremely sick patient and where time was of the essence" Why are you giving any concern to the patient? You should never take patient condition into your decisions.
#2 "Normally I would have flown a few miles from the station but as the crew were working ferociously on the patient the most direct route was necessary." Again, Why are you giving any concern to how ferociously the medcrew was working on this patient? If you 'normally' would have flown a few miles from the station, then why did you alter your normality due to patient condition? Asking for an accident there my friend.
#3 Why on earth would the FAA call you about flying over a power station? Nothing illegal about it, and plus you're medevac status.
15 years in EMS and I've landed at a power plant, a power substation, and an oil refinery. Never once did I receive a call from anyone. |
