OP, no harm in asking on JH. But, if by chance you are new at an HAA outfit that flies the 76, try asking the other pilots their opinions. You might be surprised at how much 76 knowledge is right under your nose 😉


 


That being said, as the other poster above mentioned; left pedal when safely able is beneficial for visibility, vigilance is required during ground ops due to 6 degree forward tilt of main rotor system, all the weight of the aircraft on the 3 contact points of the landing gear can lead to sinking in on soft terrain, snow, etc. 


 


Its a dinosaur airframe but very sorted out by now. Plenty of power, plenty of range, plenty of tail rotor. The autopilot is excellent also and the entire platform is great for long distance IFR flying. 


All in all I'm a big fan of the 76 but I'm a dinosaur too.....
