While I enjoy the banter on here, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to identify that this industry has a lot of bad actors. Sadly, some of the worst make to management roles at major companies. The industry is very small and connected, so filtering the bad news on here really accomplishes nothing. It does however help the youngsters who might not be as connected from making a bad choice. Personally, I just pick the phone when I want to know anything about anybody. Granted, I'm older than most and I enjoy helping others not make the same mistakes I did. Find yourself a mentor and develop an inner circle. Spend less time here and more time really networking. I am absolutely amazed how many of my peers make $200+ in this line of work. Trust me, it ain't because they heard it here.
