Msg ID: 2798615 Company Seniority? +0/-1
Author:The New Language

Section 11.2A- COMPANY SENIORITY
Company Seniority is defined as the “cumulative length of service with the Company,” and shall govern Vacation and Sick accruals.

So, does this mean that everyone who, in the past, worked for the company, then QUIT and to work for the competition for a while, then came back gets seniority based on his "cumulative length of service with the company"?

Does that mean that until this was ratified, those who quit and worked for the competition for a while, then came back wasn't supposed to get seniority based on hsi "cumulative lenght of service with the company?"

There are a LOT of company pilots who qualify for this speciial privilage now.   Are they all going to have their seniority adjusted based on this new language?   Or only those few who somehow got this deal way before the new language was ratified?

Say I worked for a company and left, then later, that company was bought by AMC whom I subsequently got hired with.  Does that time I worked for the first company (now part of AMC) count since it was cumulative time with the company?

Suddenly, it could add 5 years to the seniority number!

Missing one word - 'continuous'...length of service, whatever.

Go for it, annoy the daylights out of them with it.  They would if the shoe were on your foot!

Big difference between Company senority and bidding senority.  Why do you care if somebody keeps their company senority?  It doesn't effect you at all.

Bidding senority is ok as long as you're not involved with a hospital based program.  If you are it means nothing.

You can work for the company in a non union position and that counts towards company senority for pay purposes.

You don't get bidding senority unless you're in a union position.
