biggest difference is that even though GMR has a lower annual raise they will start you higher and that equals rewarding for experience, AMC does not. GMR simply does a better job with retention than AMC. Hopefully with the new contract AMC will actually be competitiv and keep pilots. Right now AMC pays more for lesser experienced pilots when GMR pays more for those with experience. As simple as it gets.

to deal with With GMR.  AMC is horrible Management.  You'll get 10 different answers on one simple question.

I got 6k experience bump at amc. The pay appears to be very similar at the large companies.

Also, When they pay you more experience, you collect the OT on that time.

Unlike AMC who gives you an experience stipend but pays only at the lowest rate, base rate.

that OT thing is a big deal.if you worked 10 OT shifts a year, it's like a whopping 300 bucks. it's almost like they're not giving you 6k at all. lol you dumb dork

Is a big deal if you're a CA based pilot getting time and a half after 8 hours on shift and double time after 12 hours on shift. That adds up pretty big. I believe Union helicopter pilots are considered exempt when it comes to OT. 

if you're making ot every day like that, you could give the whole 6 grand back and not even miss it. sure are some stupid people around here

GMR starts pilots with minimum experience at $82,000.  That is with zero EMS and no other modifiers.  Most new hire pilots come in around $84,460.

If AMC starts their pilots at $82,900 and the Union takes 1% of that, then AMC is paying $82,071.
