I can't remember the pilots name but luckily it only grazed the side of his head.

Seems hawks like to defend their territory and will even go after a helicopter. There is a story of the bird of prey that came through the bubble and locked onto the pilots neck. He was lucky to get it on the ground before he bled out.

I'm guessing a seat cushion was on the replacement parts list with a new windscreen.

I was there when that happened, can't remember his name, either.  I do remember talking with him, and he said his headset ended up in the back seat. He was lucky.
