I worked at a large heli operator 20 years as a shop tech working in many shops, transmission, hydraulics, component overhaul, etc. and was laid off making $76k a year with good benefits, med, dental, 401k. Laid off and took a job at a small company for $40k a year. Barely surviving. What is the normal pay for a component overhaul technician?! Seems Walmart employees make almost the same pay nowdays!
