Boom Pang Pow  

Once upon a time, I took a snow skiing trip up to Taos, NM.

I was passing by the airport and saw a Bright red and dark blue livery striped astar.

I thought to myself, wow, that bird looks real familiar.

SO I pulled in to the parking lot to get a closer look. 

I recognized the N-Number.  So I got down and went inside.

The nice folks greeted me kindly and asked if I was with the Company and what I did.

Told them I was just an Avionics Tech up from the main hub for some much needed holiday vacation.

They started going on about a radio problem they were having on the aircraft with the TFM-550.

I was like, whoa right there.  I'm not here to work.  Just visiting.

About that time the pilot got a bright Idea and said, hey, uh we need to go "reposition" the aircraft.  And invited me to join him and this sexy super cute lil brunette flight nurse.  How could I refuse?  She was all giggles and smiles.

So I hopped in and we flew a short 15min flight around the area and landed in the exact same spot.  lol.

On that flight the pilot was keen to point out Julia Roberts winter home on the ridge and gave me the grand tour of the quiet little settlement of the small artist town.  He was quite the skilled flyer, did some cranking and banking unlike I had experienced before.  I was actually starting to get a little nervous but the lil flight nurse in the back, who was obviously enjoying herself immensely, just kept giggling and was probably getting quite wet about this time. 

He was putting that as-350 through the paces and all I could think about was how we don't fly them quite like this back at the hangar.

Well, long story short, I did a week of skiing, didn't go back to the base.  But I did see that helicopter again.  About a month later, balled up on the hangar floor with the tailboom looking like a crushed soda pop can.  Dynamic roll over they said.  I was like....really?  I can't imagine how that could have happened......
